Todd’s 2019 NBA Mock Draft

1. New Orleans Pelicans- Zion Williamson, F, Duke Zion is a freak. Williamson will put asses in the seats and will be the centerpiece of the franchise for years to come. GM David Griffin looks to be fully engaged in building a solid roster around Zion. 2. Memphis Grizzlies- Ja Morant, G, Murray St. Morant is an explosive guard and has a high basketball IQ. To get as many assists as he did with the mid major talent around him was remarkable. I think he is the third or fourth best player in this draft but Memphis looks dead set on drafting Morant after trading Mike Conley to Utah. I believe Morant has more potential to bust more than Williamson, Barrett and Hunter. But with the right pieces around him, his skill set will not allow that bust to happen. 3. New York Knicks- RJ Barrett, G/F, Duke Barrett is your prototypical, to-die-for scoring wing in today’s NBA. In a less congested half court, Barrett will see more freedom to show his full offensive repertoire. Barrett’s size and length makes it possible for him to get his shot off at almost any time but will need to improve his consistency from long range. 4. Atlanta Hawks (from New Orleans)- Deandre Hunter, F, Virginia Hunter can score, inside and outside. He has shown he can be a lockdown, perimeter defender. At his size with a seven foot wingspan, I think Hunter is being underrated and maybe should be included with the top 3 prospects as a potential star in this league. 5. Cleveland Cavaliers- Jarrett Culver, F, Texas Tech Another defensive specialist with athleticism and potential of being very efficient offensively. 6. Phoenix Suns- Darius Garland, G, Vanderbilt Garland is a well-rounded point guard with a compact, beautiful stroke. Shades of Dame Lillard. 7. Chicago Bulls- Coby White, G, North Carolina Great size and vision and improved on being a floor general as season progressed at North Carolina 8. New Orleans Pelicans (from Atlanta)- Cam Reddish, G/F, Duke I believe NOLA trades down out of the 4 spot for 8 & 10 from ATL. They get their shooter to fit the Zion centric roster in Reddish. 9. Washington Wizards- Jaxson Hayes, F/C, Texas Washington will take a chance on a young big man with monster potential. Hayes has a limitless ceiling. 10. New Orleans Pelicans (from Atlanta)- Rui Hachimura, F/C, Gonzaga Rui has a very diverse skill set for his frame. Can play out on the perimeter or at the high post in a Zion-centric offense. I think Rui fits this roster rebuild. 11. Minnesota Timberwolves- Brandon Clarke, F, Gonzaga Clarke is very skilled and will add his skill set to a roster that has potential to compete for a playoff spot. 12. Charlotte Hornets- Sekou Dembouya, F, France I know nothing. LOL. But most mocks have this dude going anywhere from 8-15. 13. Miami Heat- Nassir Little, F, North Carolina Great potential to be a very effective, multidimensional wing 14. Boston Celtics- Tyler Herro, G, Kentucky Elite shooter with diverse launch angles. Herro’s defensive instincts are next level and will be a solid, underrated defender. 15. Detroit Pistons- Nickeil Alexander-Walker, G, Virginia Tech Shades of Lou Williams. Can fill it up when he gets hot. 16. Orlando Magic- Romeo Langford, G, Indiana 17. Atlanta Hawks- Keldon Johnson, G/F, Kentucky 18. Indiana Pacers- Nicolas Claxton, F, Georgia 19. San Antonio Spurs- PJ Washington, F, Kentucky 20. Boston Celtics- Goga Bitadze, C, country of Georgia 21. Oklahoma City Thunder- Carsen Edwards, G, Purdue 22. Boston Celtics- Ty Jerome, G, Virginia 23. Memphis Grizzlies- Kevin Porter Jr, G, USC 24. Philadelphia 76ers- Cameron Johnson, G/F, North Carolina 25. Portland Trail Blazers- Grant Williams, F, Tennessee 26. Cleveland Cavaliers- Bol Bol, F, Oregon 27. Brooklyn Nets- Darius Bazley, F, Princeton High School 28. Golden State Warriors- Mfiondu Kabengele, F/C, Florida State 29. San Antonio Spurs- Chuma Okeke,F, Auburn 30. Detroit Pistons- Dylan Windler, F, Belmont
